Staying positive when everything goes wrong

staying positive

Is staying positive possible when things don’t go as smoothly as they could in your life? Good question. Albert Einstein once defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It’s like if you’re banging your head against a brick wall and you keep wondering why you keep having terrible headaches. Of course you will go mad unless you stop hitting the wall and trying another alternative.

Change starts in your own head. That’s the first step. You’re the only one who knows best what you need. So ask yourself the kind of questions that will lead you to discovering the good attitudes you require. Even the smallest tricks can be helpful: give a smile to the mirror once in a while.

Imagine new alternatives. Are diverse surroundings what you want? Try to slowly reach out to what you aspire. Go with your gut and follow whatever brings a smile to your face. Step by step, as small as these may be, you’ll find that it’s much better to move on rather than doing nothing at all.

If you stay put, everything will only get lower. Not only is your physic comfort at risk, but your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being as well. Above all, always take care of yourself.

Believe it: There’s ALWAYS a bright side to every situation, no matter how bad it seems.

You can find a positive aspect of the circumstances by learning from them. You need the right knowledge to keep growing and walk away from what hurts you.

Keeping in mind the truly important things in your life will help you to let go of all the other ones which you don’t need. Stress and anxiety, for example, are two things you shouldn’t wait to get rid of. To take what really matters to you and transform it into a motivation to keep going is an excellent way to overcome failure.

Staying positive is a slow process

I’ve found that the best weapon we can always count on in life is our own attitude. It sounds easy to just say “stay positive”. But actually doing it is not as easy as it sounds. If it was, everyone would be peaceful all the time. (Wouldn’t that be great?) However, it’s something you have to work in one-day-at-a-time. But at the end of each day, it’s an enormous victory.

After you start bringing changes in your life things will naturally start going in another direction. When you make significant modifications, you trigger a sort of attraction that brings new possibilities. Then, sooner than you know, everything looks different and brighter.
